Dissolver is a live techno artist who focuses to showcase his unique and recognisable sound to the world best summarized by his motto: “(live), laugh, love”. Dissolver has always had a passion for contrasts, the unorthodox, and challenging the status quo. His music follows the same recipe: Remarkable samples, cheeky vocals and tempo’s starting from 140bpm are things you’re likely to encounter during his sets. And all of that without any sign of a laptop. Having also had releases on Nina Kraviz’ Trip Records, Dissolver’s music has been frequently played by techno heavyweights like Carl Cox, Boys Noize, Dax J, Peggy Gou and many more.
With this project, I wanted to deepen my understanding of press photography. Capturing the sound and energy of DJs is something I’ve been exploring and truly enjoy. For this particular shoot, my goal was to reflect his playful, adventurous, yet professional spirit.
The resulting images are now being used for promotional material, podcasts, and more.
